- [#114] Covert Communication For Complience And Results with Kevin Hogan - People pay you and me tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to get people to do "what they don't want to" or "can't do." And that is the only answer to, "Can you get me to do something using hypnosis that you can't in everyday communication?" (Rarely asked that elegantly.) The answer is "no" in most cases but the answer to, "Can you get me to do something I don't want to do?" .....is yes. That's what we get paid to do. (Many people also get paid and typically fail.) What can't people do? What don't they want to do? The list is virtually endless what people want at the "gut level," the non conscious level essentially can't do.... that they WISH they could....ah if only The Secret could save us all.... So they go to you hoping you can get them to do things that everyone else has failed at. Can you do it? Short term, you can work with a client and get almost any result to the point where you and I are convinced that they "stopped smoking." Convinced enough we'd tell it to the world, that our success rate is about 100%. Then they go back into the real world and unbeknownst to you and me, they begin once again. We thought we succeeded. We failed. Why? There was no truly persuasive covert communication. Oh, don't get me wrong. You didn't do trance "wrong," or fail to "talk to the unconscious mind." You got all of that right. What you missed was what Joseph Cautela calls Covert Conditioning. (It was from this phrase that I coined the term, "Covert Hypnosis" a number of years ago.) Covert Conditioning is a *process* that requires certain steps to be taken in a certain sequence. And, because it has been studied and tested and followed up on, it is the single most powerful form of "hypnosis" that there is as far as creating behavioral change. You can work with most clients and get them to stop smoking, lose weight, restore self-confidence so they can approach someone from the opposite sex, give them the resources to build wealth. Anecdotal and video case studies of adults and children are used to demonstrate to the participant the significance of hypnosis in pain management. A generic hypnosis treatment plan will be studied in detail from session one through session four in a comprehensive step-by-step model. By using this 1,2,3 approach the participant will be able to develop a hypnosis treatment plan for any pain client including Headaches, Chronic Post Surgical Pain, Cancer Pain, Fibromyalgia, Back and Neck Pain, Temporomandibular Disorder, Tic Douloureux and any other pain syndromes you the hypnotist may encounter.
