Our headquarters staff
have all taken the NGH certification course and are Certified Consulting Hypnotists. We instituted this training at their request, so they would have a better working knowledge of the profession when working with our members. Our staff members have been with us anywhere from one to twenty years, and they all have a personal interest in helping our members and our profession to grow. We are very proud of them and want to introduce them to you.
Dr. Dwight Damon, DC, DNGH, OB
President
A founding member of the National Guild of Hypnotists in 1951, Dr. Damon started his career with Dr. Rexford L. North at the Hypnotism Center in Boston. A charter member of NGH and IHA, he is the author and co-author of numerous articles and books on hypnotism and motivation. He has also maintained very successful careers as a Doctor of Chiropractic, television personality,
motivational author/speaker and theatrical entrepreneur. President of the Guild, Dr. Damon is Editor of the Journal of Hypnotism, Hypno-Gram, and Hypnosis Today. He is also President of NFH 104 OPEIU, AFL/CIO/CLC.
Don Mottin, NGH VP, CI, DNGH, OB
Vice President
Vice President of the Guild and a busy Consulting Hypnotist, writer and instructor, Don, for the past fifteen years has traveled extensively bringing continuing education programs to Guild members around the country, and Canada. After a hitch in the Marine corps where his interest was first raised after attending a stage hypnotism show he was working in a local police department and had the opportunity to get involved with forensic hypnosis. Don’s most recent book, Raising Your Children With Hypnosis, which was published by the Guild has sold extensively to hypnotists and parents through the Guild and also on Amazon.com.
He has been writing for the Journal of Hypnotism since 1993, and has developed numerous programs such as Pediatric Hypnosis, HDR, Removing Imprints, Smoking Cessation, Weight Management, and many, many more. Don and Brenda, his wife of 27 years, enjoy swimming, jet skiing and riding their ATVs.
Melody Damon-Bachand, BCH

Melody has worked at the NGH for the past twenty years in several capacities. She started out as office manager in what was a one computer office. At that time there were less than 100 Guild members. Today the NGH has a full staff and over 10,000 members. She is the Executive Director of the NGH and oversees the operations of the National Guild of Hypnotists and all departments, maintaining smooth operation of the organization. The entire staff strives for efficiency in serving our members.Melody is an NGH Certified Consulting Hypnotist and also NGH Board Certified. She has been around hypnotism since her childhood. She is married to Steven, an emergency room Registered Nurse, and has two grown children, Christopher and Jereme, six
grandchildren, a dog and a cat. Melodys hobbies are scrapbooking, reading and all types of hand-made crafts. She also collects key chains.
Dawn Huard, CH

Dawn has worked at the NGH for over 20 years and
is an NGH Certified Consulting Hypnotist. She has been around hypnotism since childhood. Starting part-time, she eventually became full-time and handles membership certificates, member cards and all membership packages. You can meet Dawn at the NGH Convention Bookstore. She is married to Kevin and has one grown son, Damon, a grandchild, Jade, and a cat. Dawns hobbies: bingo, scrapbooking and her granddaughter.
Jay Bachand. CH

Jay has worked full time at the NGH for fifteen years. He is an NGH Certified Consulting Hypnotist. He handles all the incoming/outgoing e-mails and maintains the NGH website. Jay also does our videotaping and editing. You can meet Jay at the NGH Convention Bookstore. He is single and his hobbies include camping, poker and working in the family entertainment company. Jays passion is wrestling. He is a volunteer head coach for the Merrimack Youth Wrestling Association.

Julie has been with the NGH full time for four years. An NGH Certified Consulting Hypnotist, she handles referrals, and chapter meetings, and inputs, edits and formats publications for pre-press.

Chris has been working at the NGH

Elsom Eldridge, Jr.

Elsom's first exposure to hypnotism training was as a teen-age student of Dwight Damon in 1950. He has been with the NGH since 1986. Elsom and Dr. Damon were the hosts for the very first convention in 1988, which was held in Danvers, MA, and he has devoted hundreds of hours to assuring the success of our annual convention. He works diligently putting together the schedule, manual, and catalog prior to the convention, which has grown to be the largest hypnotism convention in the world. Meet Elsom at the annual convention. He is married, has three children, nine grandchildren, and four dogs. Elsom's hobbies are magic, music, his grandchildren and his dogs.
Jean Sutton
Florida Office Facilitator
Jean is the right-hand person in the Florida convention office. She has worked side by side with Elsom Eldridge for the past thirteen years to maintain the excellent convention schedule and printed materials that we enjoy every year. She is married to John Truax, and they have three dogs. Jean's hobbies are crossword puzzles, reading, and bicycling. Meet Jean at the presenters office at the Annual Convention.
